Malgré la promesse de mettre fin au secret bancaire, la Suisse est toujours un paradis pour les fraudeurs fiscaux, selon le Forum mondial sur la transparence et l’échange de renseignements à des fins fiscales. Cette organisation de 121 pays, émanation de l’OCDE, tient aujourd’hui à Jakarta sa sixième réunion mondiale. Le forum a réalisé un examen des pays en fonction de leur respect ou non du principe d’échange automatique d’informations fiscales entre administrations. La Suisse fait partie, au même titre que Brunei, le Panama ou Vanuatu, du groupe des pays qui ne disposent même pas d’un cadre légal propice à ce type d’échange. Elle ne valide donc pas la «phase 1» de l’examen. D’autres paradis fiscaux, comme Chypre ou le Luxembourg, ont passé la «phase 1» mais pas la «phase 2». Le forum estime que, malgré l’existence de textes, l’échange d’information n’est, concrètement, pas appliqué.
